Just posting notification that I'm aware of bullet points not working in the guild sections - no idea why, though I'm working on it and will fix it asap

EDIT: All fixed.

Some of you may have noticed that I've been gradually updating the site over the last two weeks - it's mostly been minor CSS edits to make the overall appearance of the site more appealing, though I figured I should create some kind of log (so everyone knows that I'm doing something productive  ::>:).

The most important update is that I've reinstated the portal on the index page, and added a Mumble window so you can see if anyone's online without having to open the program. Hope you guys find this useful! Visit to check it out and let me know if you'd like anything else featured on the main page.

Other edits include:
  • Fixed custom fonts on the site. I added in custom fonts months ago, but it wasn't until I formatted my PC that I realised the @font-face element wasn't fetching stuff off the server as it should - you should now see everything on the site in Open Sans.
  • Changed layering order for the drop-down menus at the top of the site. If you ever tried to check your messages from the RAWR index you'd have noticed they fell behind the image making it impossible to browse; I've now set it to the maximum possible level so nothing will show in front of it.
  • Updates the colours of the RAWR page so that everything matches the colour scheme; there were buttons that appeared blue instead of purple for instance.
  • Really minor ones here so points if you saw them - I've changed the colour of the off-white elements and added padding to the board indexes so they're easier on the eye.
  • Reverted the styling of the "Simple Machines" link at the bottom of the page so it doesn't show up as navy if you've ever been to the site. It's the smallest things that bug me the most...
Things that still need attention:
  • Private Messages are broken in some browsers, typing in someone's username doesn't work as it should. I see this as urgent and will sort it out asap.
  • Font size is tiny when previewing messages. Done.
  • Need to rid ourselves of glowing, shadow and marquee text. Done.
  • Can't get the bloody bottom bar to stick to the bottom of the page, so if you're viewing any part of the site with little content it comes up like a creep and invades your personal space. Should also change the dates so that they automatically update the year...
  • Gallery still needs some updating, particularly with the font/link colours. Mostly done, though some areas are more trouble than they're worth thanks to dodgy coding that would take too long to re-write.
  • Want to update the text on the portal so the date on the news boxes stands out more, as it is they're way too small. Done.
This is probably the last significant update I'll make to the forum in its current form, as I feel we should start developing something new that will cater specifically to our needs as a gaming community and will try to give that all my attention instead. Still, please let me know if you see anything that requires attention and I'll do my best to take care of it!

A few have you probably noticed that we had an influx of new registrations and spam-related posts over the last couple of days - almost all originated from either the Russian Federation or Ukraine and it looks like the bots were bypassing the ReCaptcha on the registration process, but after changing the security question and updating a few things it looks like we've got everything under control again.

There may still be a few messages posted from bots that already have dormant accounts, though I'll be sifting through the member list later on and checking all IPs to single them out and terminate them. Huge thanks to our mods for preventing it from getting out of hand, you guys are awesome :sparkle:
