Notice Board / Aurelia Polyp Minion Lottery
« Last post by Leo on 13 Feb 2018, 10:48:02 »
"Hitching a ride in the ballast tank of a submersible proved an enlightening experience for this infant wavekin, allowing it to listen in on the incessant mumblings of the vessel's pilot─a mammet voyager tasked with taking an audio log of all discoveries made."

Our submarine brought back two Aurelia Polyp Minons (not voluntarily as the description of the little guys says...)! And we're happe to bring out a lottery on one of them. The other one I put on the Market Board for 20+ Million Gil, and If anybody is crazy enough to buy it this week, we'll all have a little gilfest...

But for the other one lets have a little lottery (and if the second wasn't sold on the MB till the Lottery we will just draw two winners...)
Everyone active in the FC is welcome to participate. Please announce that you want to participate by Saturday evening by filling out the form I linked below. The lottery will take place in the Gold Saucer on Sunday evening (arround 19:00 GMT. Of course you can also participate in the lottery when you cannot be here on Sunday.

So without furtherado, please enter your names :D

Events & Tasks / We all build us a yellow submarine

Ahoy, me Mateys!

TL;DR - see at the bottom

As some of you may have noticed, Reverence has its own submarine now, the Moensyngi. It is on it's three year's mission to boldy dive where no ship has dived before... Well, jokes aside: It is a fine ship that we can send on expeditions to the deep seas to gather materials for crafters to craft nice stuff, possibly in the likes of glamour items, housing items (at least it was like this with the air ships).

The ship levels up (or rather so does her crew...) by going on these expeditions and when it reaches a certain level it can be upgraded by new and shiny parts (there are four kinds, bow, stern, hull and bridge).
These parts require a tremendous amout of crafted materials - which makes building a ship a FC wide effort (we were lucky enough that on Tuesday we had nearly all the material ready from the FC's, Vals, Psy's, Racky's, Ed's and mine coffers, so we could get the Lvl 1 ship on its merry voyage right before the emergency maintenance...)

A bunch of merry gatherers got almost everthing we need for the next stages of the boat together today and yesterday... good work everyone! The next phase will be to craft the stuff we need from the material we gathered.

That's what this event will be about: We'll meet in the workshop and burn through the materials, feed it to the big combombulator crafting machine in the workshop and built the new parts so we can add them to the ship as soon as it is leveled up to the necessary rank.
That's were we need help - it is very boring to grind through hundreds and hundreds of materials to finally get it done and much more fun to do this together (it is really a nice mood in the workshop when a whole party is minting and hammering and boiling stuff...)

So let's meet on Sunday at 5 pm server time in the workshop, we should be done an hour or so later :) . To organize what to do I'll put up an online spreadsheet with different lots to craft (ordered roughly by level), link see below.

  • What's happening? Crafting Event @ The Reve Workshop.
  • When? Sunday February 4th 5pm servertime
  • Who can take part? Crafters beyond lvl 45 - but everyone is welcome to stop by!
  • How long will it take? I estimate about one hour.
  • Where do I sign up? Visit the Crafting Spreadsheet at: to pledge for a crafting lot on Page 2 ("Crafting Lots"). Don't start in advance, please! And don't vandalize the spreadsheet
  • What will it cost me? Nothing but your time. Materials will be provided of course
  • What's in for me? Decent XP (if your crafter is a the right lvl range), socialising, fun, mats and (at some point) crafts from our most esteemed crafters using the mats the sub's voyages.

Monster Hunter: World is finally here! The latest installment of the franchise is the biggest one yet, and the overwhelmingly positive reception to the game has finally taken it out of the realm of the niche with many QoL and gameplay adjustments to make it an awesome experience. For those that haven't been following development or know little about the series, you'll take on the role of a hunter and pursue various quests with up to three friends, and hunt various creatures in a living, breathing eco-system that promises a different experience each time you embark.

As well as 14 different weapon classes to play with, the amount of variety and options presented to the player is staggering as you can use the environment to your advantage, lay traps, and sometimes even get unexpected help when your hunt crosses the path of other aggressive creatures roaming the maps. Progression is handled via gear and your own personal level of skill, and as you take on harder missions you'll reap greater rewards to take down your next target.

I'm creating this thread as a number of Reverence members are playing, and it would be awesome to form a squad and help each other through the game; and use this as a hub for new and useful information as it comes. If you're playing, let us know! Either drop a comment here or post in the relevant section in our Discord channel.

This will be expanded on as more info about the game comes out.

Currently, Arekkz's channel seems to be the best place for info on getting started and viewing guides for the various weapon/class builds, so be sure to give it a look if you're looking for get a head-start on the game or refine your knowledge! The MHW playlist specifically can be found here.

This is not a screenshot, but our static has an official crest now, thanks to Sancosi's awesome talents with Photoshop!

For those not familiar with our inside jokes: I used the German word "Knödel" (means dumpling) a few too many times to describe all those markers and things that pop up over people's heads during FF14 fights. So the "Knödel" kinda made its way into our raid vocabulary to the point that we jokingly dubbed ourselves the "Team Knödel". Even Qilue's Kupo Bot psychs us up with "Let's Go, Knödel!" to commence a fight.

So, yeah... now we have our very own Knödel crest!  :sparkle:

The image was 100% created by Sancosi.

Anyone still playing BDO? This game is aging like fine wine imo. They're adding content all the time so there's always something to do.

Update from me! (I know this is fitness but I hope weight loss and healthy eating counts...)

Almost through the first week of diet! Not gonna lie. It's been really hard. Though what has helped was making meals for the week on Sunday and having them for lunches. Made chicken teriyaki for the first time which was yuuummmmy. Don't think I put enough in each pot to fill me up though (so will do a bit more this weekend!)

It's been hard not just snacking on chocolates and sweets while gaming or working too as sugary treats are one of my biggest weaknesses... If anyone has any suggestions on how to help combat it let me know!

I've been having zero sugar fizzy drinks to help wean me off (tricking myself into thinking I'm having my treats) and to help fill me up towards the end of the afternoon before a long commute home from work. I know I will need to stop having those as well to be REALLY healthy, but it's something to help get into a routine which seems to be working at least..! It's not perfect and I still get those cravings, but hopefully I'll get there!

I do my weigh ins every week on a Sunday so guess we'll find out how I got on soon :speechless:
